The MOULD Family Genealogy Introduction:If you are like myself and interested in all that is Mould family genealogy, history, trivia, origins, forebear, related to your elusive ancestor or progenitor and you want to unravel the mystery & history and pedigree of your proud distinguished surname for your progeny... Then you have found the right place! On this site you will find a plethora of history from the ancient origins to the most recent related history of those born of Mould heritage, be it paternal or maternal, distant cousin, no preference is given. We patronize all that find kinship to the Mould, Mold, Mole surnames and their multitude of variants worldwide. You may have wondered in the world where is the highest concentration of a particular variant of your surname? Here are two to get you started… The MOLD Surname in a recent case study was found to be geographically at its highest concentration in the area of Oxford which is a city in Oxford or Oxfordshire, England (U.K) in both 1998 and 1881. Worldwide the MOLD surname had 21 incidents per million names in 1881 and 17 per million in 1998 with greater then 99% claiming British ancestry in the same periods of history. The ancient town of Banbury near Oxford claims the fame of having the most individuals of the noted surname MOLD in both periods of history. Not surprising, as Banbury is rich in ancient and recent history, the town itself has ancient Roman and Danish antiquity. Until this century historians held the well-founded belief that the first Banbury area dwelling was a Roman domicile at Wykham Park from the interval approximately 250AD. That was before an Iron Age settlement of the period of 200BC was uncovered during recent construction... The ancient road of salt way is the very same path the Romans laid from London to Banbury... The triangle shape of Banbury’s famous ancient market square owes its existence to the Vikings (Danes) whom lived in the area in 913AD. The Bishop of the area known as Alexander of Lincoln built the Banbury Castle in the year 1135AD. To date; I personally have traced & documented the ancestry of known variants of the MOLD surname in the Banbury area within the 14th century to present day. It would not be a stretch to say they were there much longer. I will endeavor to further the ancient origins of the MOLD Surname and its many variants in this beautiful, historical Banbury, Oxford, England (U.K.) also known as Banburyshire to many locals. The MOULD Surname in the aforesaid case study was found to be geographically at its highest concentration in Salisbury, which is a city in Wiltshire, England (U.K.) in 1881 and Stoke-on-Trent, which is a city in Staffordshire, England (U.K.) in 1998. Worldwide the MOULD surname in 1881 had 95 incidents per million enumerations and 92 million in 1998 with greater then 99% claiming British ancestry in both periods of history. If you have a MOULD, MOLD, MOLE or obvious variant thereof pedigree of any size or detail and you do not have it up on the Internet yet; I would encourage you to submit it to our site. Any family tree will be a most welcome addition. If you already have a verbose family tree on the internet that can be found WITHOUT doing a query on ancestry, world connect, genealogy, family search or family tree then please by all means submit your reciprocal link in alternate. Moreover, I know it’s hard to find MOULD Family Genealogy and history on the web or elsewhere, so if you have some or come across a good site please do submit that link as well. Our most recent project we have undertook is the MOULD Surname DNA Project, in order to further solidify our existing traditional research and find the links between the various MOLD Clans, previously thought to be unrelated.
I will reiterate, I am interested in all that is MOULD, MOLD, MOLE family history, trivia, photos, memorabilia, bibles, documentation, books, case studies and the like; for ANY LINE
